The elections for selecting the leadership and administrative positions of the Universities Union in the Kurdistan Region were held on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

During the elections, Mr. Eyad T. Ismail, a Lecturer at the University of Zakho, was chosen to manage the position of Secretary of the Union after receiving votes from members of 17 universities.
